Programs

By visiting a Healthy Behaviors Learning Center, you and your staff can experience programs in action and take away ideas, free resources and critical knowledge to easily build into your program and achieve the same successful and measurable results. These tools will help your program become more intentional, and make nutrition and physical activity part of your core program, as part of a holistic approach that changes attitudes and behaviors. You will connect with mentors who will help you put into action approaches and tools included in the Initiative's Guide to Exemplary Practices that:
  • Establish program policies that promote healthy eating and physical activity by your staff, students and families
  • Engage students in exciting and meaningful activities
  • Build partnerships with existing nutrition and physical activity organizations that can help your program be successful and sustainable
  • Improve food in your program while increasing family access to healthy food outside program hours
  • Create and empower student leaders
