About CCS

Founded in 1991, the Center for Collaborative Solutions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission and a passion for unleashing the power of people working together—helping others to discover innovative and effective ways to achieve shared goals. Our current work is built around two complementary departments with the overarching goal of improved health and well-being.

Focusing on SOLUTIONS in both departments, our work is both grant-funded and fee-based.  For example: In our workplace solutions work we serve as the neutral convener of the California Education Coalition for Health Care Reform (CECHCR), a labor-management collaborative effort to address health care cost and quality issues in the public education arena.

Our afterschool solutions work addresses two important areas in low-income communities: a Healthy Behaviors Initiative that builds exemplary afterschool practices in nutrition, physical activity and food security, and a My Brother’s Keeper Initiative that focuses on improving the lives and futures of boys and young men of color.

In both departments, the Center also provides fee-for-service training, facilitation, coaching and consultation services, as well as a variety of resource and support materials.

CCS is governed by a distinguished Board of Directors, and our work is designed and carried out by a strong, committed team of staff, consultants and volunteers.
